Our ’Canes Central team wants to work with you to plan ahead, submit documents early, and make proactive decisions to help you avoid last-minute challenges as you get ready for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Why worry about next year now? Because it’s the perfect time to prepare and because the 2022-2023 FAFSA priority deadline is February 1, 2022.

Open House Details

Join 'Canes Central for a day of games, giveaways, and education during our Spring Open House on Thursday, March 3, 2022, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Raffles

Students who participate in the Spring Open House and complete each of the following stations will earn their C-A-N-E-S-! stamps on their raffle card and will be entered for 1 of our 3 giveaway raffles:

C = Registration and Records
A = Billing and Payment
N = Financial Aid
E = 'Cane Card
S = GreenU
! = Toppel Career Center/CC Partnership

Up to 3 bonus stamps can also be earned by completing the items below for a chance to be selected for 1 of our 3 special, Swag Bag raffles (Note: Each bonus stamp gives 1 entry into the Swag Bag raffles):

1. Pre-register for the Spring Open House (see below)
2. Show proof of completion of the 2022-2023 FAFSA (see below)
3. Join one of the live Money Management sessions the day of the event (see below)

Pre-Register

See a 'Canes Central Team Member Today

There is no need to register for this event but you can pre-register by finding a 'Canes Central team member or swinging by the 'Canes Central office and completing our quick pre-registration form. Keep an eye out as our 'Canes Central Crew may float around campus in their lime green shirts so you can snag them for registration. Pre-registration must be completed by the end of business on the day before the Spring Open House.

Your pre-registration will be linked to your student email so you can receive your bonus stamp on the day of the event.

FAFSA for 2022-2023

Priority Deadline = February 1, 2022

Any student who would like to be considered for federal financial aid must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The priority deadline for continuing students to submit the FAFSA for the 2022-2023 academic year is February 1, 2022. Even though financial aid awards for 2022-2023 will not be officially sent until the Summer, it is important you submit your FAFSA now to be considered for the maximum amount of the available funds as some funds are limited.

Complete your 2022-2023 FAFSA prior to the Spring Open House and bring confirmation of completion to earn your bonus stamp.

Personal Finance Tips & Tricks

Money Management Program

Join our Money Management team for a quick, 10-15 introductory discussion on Personal Finance Tips & Tricks. Learn about investing, credit, loan forgiveness, and so much more, and find out how you can access more in-depth resources through the Money Talks series. On the day of the Spring Open House, the Money Management team will present in the 'Canes Central lobby every half hour. Join a session and earn a special raffle entry.
