Knowing the basics of how your bill works is easy!  See when tuition and fees are posted, when aid has disbursed onto your student account, and if you have a balance.  Students and proxies receive an email billing notification to access their tuition bill in CaneLink several weeks prior to the semester due date and until the balance is paid so keep an eye out for email communications.

Students have an array of payment options available to them, including online payments, 529 plan payments, Florida Prepaid plans, Cashiering services, Monthly Payment Plans, Sponsorships, Wire Transfers, and more.  Explore these options and take the necessary steps to satisfy your semester bill.

The University of Miami has partnered with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) to provide international students a new online wire transfer payment portal that offers a secure banking environment, preferred exchange rates, and the ability to make payments in preferred currency.

Depending on course load and career of study, students are required to pay mandatory fees.  There may, however, be some limited fees where students have the option to opt in or opt out (e.g., Wellness Center for graduate students) or waive (e.g., health insurance).

The Department of Education requires that Title IV funds be applied only to tuition, mandatory fees, and room and board charges from University-contracted lodging.  Students can provide permission to apply federal financial aid toward other miscellaneous University charges (e.g., health insurance, parking, etc.).

The 2022-2023 FAFSA Priority Deadline for continuing students is February 1, 2022.  Submit it now through studentaid.gov so you can be considered for financial aid.

1. Submit your FAFSA on studentaid.gov by the priority deadline of February 1^st
2. Ensure you are fully-enrolled as your enrollment can affect your aid
3. Review your eligible awards once packages are released
4. Accept, decline, or revise your awards
5. Complete all pending Documents to ensure your awards disburse
6. Review your Payments/Account Summary to see your posted aid
7. Arrange payment of any remaining balance
